Mr. Gorzug and the Matter of Home

In Mr. Gorzug And The Matter Of Home, Halcyon Gorzug, a former war veteran, finds himself permanently integrated into the chaos of a struggling British school, where he is increasingly seen as part of the institution’s fabric rather than an outsider. As he grapples with the challenges of being needed versus having a life, he navigates the complexities of success, loyalty, and identity, all set against a backdrop of humorous and insightful observations about schools and belonging. The story explores the delicate balance between duty and personal growth, revealing that building a future often demands greater courage than defending one.
