Fell Murder

In E.C.R. Lorac's 1944 novel Fell Murder, set against the backdrop of World War II, the story unfolds in the tranquil yet tightly-knit farming community of Lancashire's Lune Valley. The narrative centers on the longstanding Garth family, with the formidable octogenarian Robert Garth at its helm, as the peace of their idyllic countryside is shattered by a grim murder. This traditional detective tale combines a rich sense of place with the complexities of family dynamics and community ties.
