Antigone

Slavoj Žižek revisits his radical interpretation of Antigone, expanding on his original work with a new essay that connects the play to our contemporary moment and offering a Žižekian take on Sophocles’ classic. His reinterpretation challenges traditional views, exploring complex perspectives on Antigone and Creon, and imagining alternative actions that provoke thought on ethical resistance and state power. This innovative, engaging work is both humorous and politically charged, inviting readers to see Antigone in a whole new light.
