Poems of the Night

Poems of the Night is a dual-language collection that showcases the poetic brilliance of Jorge Luis Borges, featuring themes of darkness, nighttime, and dreams—many poems appearing in English for the first time. Revered as a fiction writer, Borges saw himself primarily as a poet, and this compilation represents his reflections over the course of his career. With distinguished translations alongside the original Spanish texts, the collection includes notable pieces like "History of the Night" and "In Praise of Darkness," illuminating Borges's deep engagement with the complexities of vision and existence.
