In this engaging audiobook, Jane Addams shares her experiences as a co-founder of Hull House in 1889, the first settlement house in the United States. Funded by her inheritance, Hull House served as a vibrant community hub in Chicago, providing educational programs, cultural activities, and essential services to a diverse, immigrant population. Through her reflections, Addams addresses critical issues such as labor, discrimination, and the role of government in enhancing the lives of society’s marginalized individuals.
